Worship With Us at First Methodist!

Worship Update!

On Sundays during the Apple Festival – Sunday, October 10 and Sunday, October 17 – we will have only one worship service at 10:00 AM!

Worship at First United Methodist in Ellijay is what we like to call “casually liturgical.” After all, we follow the liturgical calendar – observing Advent, Christmastide and Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and Pentecost – but we invite you to come as you are! Shorts and t-shirts are not only welcomed but encouraged (especially during the hot summer months). If you see our pastors in robes, though? Don’t worry…it’s just part of our Methodist heritage (and they don’t wear them all the time!)

Music is led by Dr. Patrick Young, and includes everything from classical anthems and traditional hymns, to folk favorites!

The Rev. Dr. John Brantley, preaches dynamic and relatable sermons which demonstrate our need for the Good News! Find our entire Sunday Schedule below to join us in person, or participate in our livestream, or watch previous services here!
